DNB Doctors took MCI head on, proposed merger of DNB; in FORDA national meet

FORDA- Fedration of Resident doctors association organised its first ever National meet in order to provide a common non political platform to Resident doctors all throughout the country.

Association of DNB Doctors and residents were also invited to share the views and ADD president Dr Jateen Ukrani put forward the discrimination and step motherly treatment done by MCI for DNB degree

Dr Jateen proposed merger of DNB with MD MS MCh DM as a permanent solution of this issue as India is only country to have two parallel systems of PG degrees. Earlier Parliamentary committee on health and NITI Ayog both have proposed DNB merger in NMC bill but the government mysteriously bent down to MCI and dropped the merger clause from NMC.

ADD is running a discounted membership drive for DNB Alumni and Residents, to fight a legal battle against MCI, NBE and MOHFW for complete unconditional equivalence (Click Here)

Its point worthy that in most of the developed western word medical education is not the only domain of Medical college and non medical college hospitals also contribute to the PG Specialist seats in huge numbers and there is no separate nomenclature or discrimination for the same.
