AIIMS launched video based MCQ questions in its exams !

All India Institute of Medical sciences conducted its PG entrance exam on Sunday 18th November 2018 and students were almost shocked to see Video based MCQ questions in it Computer based exam.

Computer based exam in PG Medical entrance started in 2012 by National Board of Examinations and soon after was followed by JIPMER, AIIMS etc. Initially only picture based questions were asked in the CBT of different exam conducting bodies. But in this AIIMS exam they have asked many Video based MCQ questions. One of the candidate informed that in one MCQ, a child with seizure was given in the video and type of seizure was asked.

This has opened gates to the examiners to ask more and more video and audio based question. Experts of AIIMS exam books and coaching have informed us that the same pattern is also expected in NEET PG and JIPMER exams in future. This will change the pattern of learning in MBBS forever. Now there will be little benefit on cramming and more on concept building with focus on clinical and practical knowledge.

This change in pattern will again push the MBBS students to focus on compulsory rotatory Internship and practical clinical aspect of learning.
