NEET UG (Previously All India pre medical test) and NEET-PG (Previously AIPGMEE) both are alleged to be Rigged in the same year of 2017. This is the first time in the history of the medical entrance that both undergraduate and Post graduate medical entrance examination in India, however, both UG and PG NEET are conducted by different exam conducting bodies. While UG NEET is conducted by Central Board of secondary education, NEET PG is conducted by National Board of Examinations.

Rigging of examination by two different board in a single year indicates the casual approach of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare regarding Medical Education in India; says a prominent Biology teacher of Kota on account of anonymity. In place of acting proactively to catch the culprits, the government is trying to cover up to save the face. Three years without a scam, they want to promote government as a salesman; said prominent Doctor who is running an NGO for medical reforms, from Chandigarh.

While police have registered many cases for NEET UG all throughout India, a case is registered by Crime Branch of Delhi for NEET PG. As per primary information, the Modulus Operandi of both NEET PG and UG scams were different.
