In yet another blow to this year’s NEET Superspeciality counselling now Kerala High court stayed 2nd round of counselling while hearing W.P. (C) No. 27789 of 2017 filed by petitioners Sherin P Mathew and Dr Gayatri Gopan. Interestingly the orders were passed on 31st August and is Uploaded on the MCC website on 8th September. MCC website notice reads that “Online NEET Super Speciality counselling -2017 (Round 2) has been stayed till further order.

The order specifically cited clauses 13.6.1 and 13.7.1 of the Prospectus cum information bulletin that quotes that National Board of examinations shall not be declaring any combined merit list for any specific super specialty course but later on when MCI and DGHS failed to prepare any merit list based on NBE data, NBE came to rescue and prepared a merit list by simply merging all the merit list percentile.
