Today Medical Council of India (MCI) has released a list of vacant seats of PG and invited applications from students who have qualified NEET PG examinations for mop-up counseling. In a notice the Medical Counselling Committee, responsible for counseling and admission has invited applications for vacant seats for Deemed and Central Universities. The corrigendum regarding the same has also been released on mcc.nic.in.
As per the official notification released on May 26, MCC has informed that the Counselling for ‘Stray Vacancy Round which will be conducted by Respective Deemed/ Central Universities as per their eligibility criteria/ reservation policy strictly as per merit. Interested candidates are requested to contact the Universities/ Colleges for the dates/ eligibility criteria of Counseling.’
Following the notice, MCC has released a corrigendum dated May 28 wherein it has specified the eligibility criteria for Central Universities. As per the notice, for stray vacant seats in Banaras Hindu University and Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi – all the candidates whose names are listed in the stray vacancy list are eligible. Also, all the seats in these institutes are open for mop-up counseling rounds.
In continuation, the stray vacant seats in Delhi University and Aligarh Muslim University only institutional candidates are eligible for participation in counseling as per respective universities’ eligibility criteria. The list for PGIMER, Dr. RML Hospital Delhi is also listed. All the NEET PG qualified candidates are advised to visit the official website mcc.nic.in and register for the mop-up counseling as per their eligibility criteria and names in the respective lists.
