National Board of examinations informed Delhi high court that a special Investigation was set up by NBE and MOHFW against Dr Bipin Batra for illegal appointment and irregularities. The Honorable court was informed by Kirtiman Singh (NBE Advocate) that Dr Batra is now chargesheeted and the final report of the investigation shall be submitted in the court before next date of hearing on 12th April.
The petition was filed by AIFMGA (All India Foreign Medical Graduate Association) against Dr Bipin Batra’s illegal appointment and irregularities in the year 2016, while Dr Bipin Batra was suspended from NBE in August 2017. Apart from internal investigations NBE also filed several FIRs against Dr Batra for criminal offenses and Economic offenses allegedly done by him during his tenure as Executive Director of NBE.
AIFMGA Advocate Viraj Kadam informed Medical Reporters that since NBE has been taken over by the new Executive director and Dr Batra is being investigated by different agencies, we are not pressing charges and waiting for the reports. AIGMGA executive member Dr Raghu Ram informed Medical reporters that “We have faith in the system and new Governing Body is doing best to clean NBE image. Hopefully, they will also take action against other corrupt employees of NBE also”
